Beginning work on new show
Its Official! Ive begun painting a new body of work for a group show at “Old Crow gallery” in Oakland CA. The show is called “Unforeseen Parallels” and a tentative date for the show is March 9th 2012. This will be my third time showing at this gallery, and every time Oakland comes out and shows love. Cant wait to show whats up my sleeve for this one. As in the Flatcolor “Round trip” show I’m concentrating on classic realism with a bit of added imagination, painting somewhat unsettling images. the idea behind the work is the parallels between life and death and symbolism that relates to that. I will also be bringing a set of prints to this show and having them for sale on the web site. See you in March!

While you were sleeping
After yesterdays arduous night of painting for Evo Media Group, this is the result. I am very proud of this new work. This painting is 8ft tall and 6ft wide and all spray paint. I had no direction on the work except “blues would be nice” which resulted in a gorgeous blue haired girl. The basis of the work is that the girl as the everyday human being influenced by design and technology. I think this piece has an elegant light feel, and I absolutely want to pursue this direction of style more in 2012.
